The new via ferrata in Flaine

This summer, the Flaine tourist office wanted a new via ferrata route and asked Indiana’ventures to build it! We are very proud of the partnerships we have created with our ski area clients and happy that our clients recognize our long-standing expertise in the development and construction of leisure sites and overhead courses. Indeed, since 2001, we have been participating in the development of summer mountain tourism, in the French Alps and beyond.

In the heart of the resort, overlooking the Flaine valley and lake, sits this new via ferrata route that has already won over the hearts of tourists and locals alike.

A via ferrata that everyone can enjoy!

The course is operated by the Flaine tourist office and is 400 meters long, winding through the fiery rocks,  cold steel, and mesmerizing void. The ladders, overhangs, turns, and escape routes provide access to two major components that are beloved by fans: a 60-meter zipline and a rope bridge hanging more than one hundred meters above ground!

User safety is a prime concern and we decided to install the latest generation of shackle systems, interconnected quick links, over the entire course. Beyond the cords absorbing the energy required in via ferratas courses, these smart links can be simultaneously removed at any time.
